VIBRATIONS OF MARINE PROPELLER BLADES

Propeller blade excitation mechanisms are discussed with respect to full scale and model records of blade stresses. Laboratory experiments regarding forced axial shaft vibrations and blade natural frequencies are compared with the theoretical methods available at Det norske Veritas.
