RESISTANCE OF TWO-DIMENSIONAL STRIPS IN OPEN CHANNELS
The study is concerned with several important aspects of flow over artifical roughnesses. An exploratory study was performed by the authors using roughness strips of different sizes with the object of providing some qualitative information about the change in resistance due to superposition of one series of roughnesses on another of same or larger size. The strips were placed such that the upstream face of the strip was perpendicular to the bed as well as to the sides.
