FRENCH MARINE AIR CUSHION VEHICLES
The development and testing of the flexible skirt concept in French marine hovercraft is discussed. It has been discovered that good vehicle attitude stability results from independently supplied flexible skirt cushions. This apparently results from the powerful stabilizing torque developed by shifts in pressure differential between internal cushions and the main cushion.
