EFFECTS OF THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT OF 1970 ON MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT
Rollover Protective Structures (ROPS) are discussed with reference to maintenance equipment (the requirements, and the effective dates of such requirements), and the "Safety and Health Regulations for Construction" section of the Occupational Safety and Health Act is reviewed. Protection against the effects of noise exposure are examined, and comments are made regarding details of "frequent inspections" and "periodic inspections" of equipment. Comments are also made on the specifications of the American National Standards Safety Code for Crawler, Locomotive and Truck Cranes.
