TRAFFIC NOISE LEGISLATION

This paper provides a brief survey of the current body of legislation dealing specifically with traffic noises. Consideration is given to noise control legislation on the federal, state and local level. It is pointed out that most of the regulations differ in details, and each should be studied individually if that detail is important in a particular situation.
