AN INVESTIGATION OF THE VALIDITY OF THREE PILE-DRIVING FORMULAE IN COHESIONLESS MATERIAL

The article gives a brief discussion of the derivation, limitations and use of three pile driving formulae. Results from a great number of loading tests on piles are listed in a table, together with the bearing capacities of the tested piles, calculated according to the three pile driving formulae. The results are compared statistically.
