NEWER KNOWLEDGE OF THE RUNNING (HORIZONTAL-TRANSVERSE) OF RAIL VEHICLES

By means of a complete statement of forces the influence is investigated, which is exerted by different parameters on the behavior of horizontal movement of a wheel set in the track. It is shown under what conditions stability or instability of the wheel-set course can be attained. A stable running behaviour can be attained if the hinge of a running gear is well adapted to the body of the car, and is suitably adapted to the parameters between wheel set and rail.
