THEORETICAL STUDIES OF THE RUNNING STABILITY OF TRUCKS
Under simplifying assumptions the study of the running stability of a truck vehicle can be limited to that of a truck, for whose determination, primarily characterized by the amount of the limiting velocity, a DGL system is mentioned. This applies to the journey in the ideally straight and inelastic track and wear pattern of the tire tread. An assumed truck serves as an example to describe the limiting velocity for stable truck running, with the design of the horizontal axle springing discussed in particular in connection with the influence exerted by rotary sliding. A suitable design of the springing diminishes in part the destabilizing influence of rotary sliding which becomes effective when using the wear pattern of the tire tread.
