ATTITUDES, OPINIONS AND KNOWLEDGE OF MOTORCYCLISTS. FINAL REPORT. VOLUMES 1 AND 2

This report describes a project which was carried out to obtain a clearer view of the two-wheeled motor vehicle rider of Great Britain. The purpose of the study was to provide a data bank of information which describes the population in terms of age, machine size, training and accident experience, etc.; relating these variables to their attitudes and opinions about riding. This was achieved by a national survey of riders. It was anticipated that the results would provide the basis for the development of safety education and training schemes. (TRRL)
