CORROSION AT AND NEAR THE WELDED JOINTS
This paper deals with the various causes of premature corrosion due to welding. Effects considered are temperature, dissimilarity in the composition of the parent metal and the welding rod, flux residues, gases, type of welding, passivation treatment to the welded metal, stray current during welding, and design and cathodic protection.
