STRENGTH OF STEEL FIBRE REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAMS
The paper presents an investigation into the mechanics of steel fibre reinforced concrete. Its behavior under uniaxial tension has been described. Equations are drived to predict the ultimate strength in flexure of steel fibre reinforced concrete beams with uniformly dispersed and randomly oriented fibre reinforcement. The theoretical predictions are then compared with experimental results. The effects of fibre reinforcement on the strength at first crack and on ductility and ultimate strength have also been discussed. /TRRL/
