STUDY OF PROGRESSIVE FAILURE OF CONCRETE SPECIMEN IN UNIAXIAL COMPRESSION
The simulation analysis by the use of the finite element method was applied to the fracture of uniaxial compression specimens of rock-like materials. The validity of this simulation analysis was supported by the experimental results on concrete specimens. The fracture mechanism and strength of rock-like materials in compression were made clear in the Course of the simulation analysis. /Author/TRRL/
