THE EFFECTS OF SNOW AND ICE ON CONCRETE PAVEMENTS
EFFETTI DELLA NEVE E DEL GELO SULLE STRUTTARE STRADALI IN
The effects on concrete of exposure to frost, are discussed, with particular reference to de-icing salts and the corrosion of reinforcement. Some recommendations are made regarding the weatherproofing, sealing, and protection of concrete pavements against the effects of frost, by the use of bituminous emulsions, epoxyresins, elastomer products, and synthetic fibres.
