MATRIX PROGRESSION SEGMENTAL METHOD FOR ORTHOTROPIC PLATES
An efficient method for the analysis of rectangular orthotropic plates is outlined for the case of two opposite simply supported ends. Derived from elasticity theory, the method utilizes a device known as "bringing up the initial boundary" in avoiding the numerical difficulties associated with ordinary matrix progression. Solutions obtained for various loadings and edge conditions show excellent agreement with known results.
