DESIGN OF FLEXIBLE PAVEMENTS. 3. LABORATORY STUDIES ON THE RHEOLOGIC BEHAVIOUR OF BITUMINOUS MIXTURES FOR WEARING COURSE, BASECOURSE AND ROADBASE

The study reported was carried out to define ture values of overall elastic modulus of the bituminous mixtures normally used on IRI motorways. Samples from the Mestre-Vittorio Veneto Motorway were tested at various temperatures and load frequencies to determine the temperatures and frequencies which correspond to the specified modulus of elasticity values used in the calculation of the pavement thicknesses.
