SPRAYED METAL COATINGS FOR THE PROTECTION OF STRUCTURAL STEEL--A FRESH APPRAISAL
This paper lists some of the more important bridges in the United Kingdon and other countries in the world which have been protected by metal spraying (mainly zinc, aluminum and lead), between 1950 and 1971. Recent examination of some of these structures shows that in general, these coatings are performing satisfactorily. Some details are given of the paint systems used.
