LOCOBIT 1210 USED IN BITUMINOUS ROADS
Lucobit 1210 is a plastic developed by BASF from the polyolefine group, and is used as an admixture to bituminous binders to increase the durability of bituminous surfacings by decreasing abrasion and promoting stability. Adhesion between binder and aggregate is markedly improved, as is compressive and bending tensile strength, and abrasion by steel studded tires is reduced by about 35 percent. /TRRL/
