STRUCTURAL ASSESSMENT OF LIGHWEIGHT AGGREGATE CONCRETE
Despite its ever-increasing use in the construction industry, lightweight-aggregate concrete is still not accepted in some quarters due to lack of understanding. To help correct this situation details are given in this paper of the behavior of concrete made with various lightweight aggregates from the viewpoints of strength, resistance to local damage, and serviceability. Typical values of elastic modulus, modulus of rupture, creep and shrinkage are presented from test beams made with Lytag aggregate and Solite aggregate. /TRRL/
