THE INCLUSION OF THE LATERAL FLEXIBILITIES OF SUSPENSION SYSTEM INTO A MATHEMATICAL MODEL
A method is described of including the lateral flexibilities of suspension systems into a three-degree of freedom mathematical model. The stability of the vehicle is studied for various values of lateral flexibility and compared with the effect of suspension-steering geometry. The results show that the lateral flexibilities of suspensions can be as important to vehicle stability as the geometric effects of the suspension-steering system. /IRRD/
