METHOD FOR DIRECT DETERMINATION OF WATER-CEMENT RATIO OF FRESH CONCRETE
EN DIREKTE METODE TIL KONTROLL AV V/C-TALL I FRESK BETONG
The method described here requires very simple instrumentation and an optically clear sample of water taken from the concrete studied. A sample of the cement used in the concrete is placed in water and is used as a control sample. The principle of the method is that the different ions present in the cement are dissolved in a constant quantity, which is independent of the water/cement ratio of the concrete. This means that the concentration of chromates in the liquid phase is proportional to the water/cement ratio of the concrete. /IRRD/
