DESIGN OF PRESTRESSED BRIDGES WITH MINIMUM DEFLECTION CAUSED BY CONCRETE CREEP AND SHRINKAGE
O KONSTRUIROVANII PREDNAPRYAZHENNYKH MOSTOV S MINIMAL'NYMI PROGIBAMI OT POLZUCHESTI I USADKI BETONA
Based on approximate Formulae for calculating deflections resulting from long-term deformations, a theoretical study is presented of the relation between stresses and the optimum selection of prestressing and geometric cross-section of concrete bridges. Recommendations are put forward for the reinforcement and prestressing of girder bridges and framed bridges in order to reduce time-related deflections due to creep and shrinkage of concrete.
