RADIAL TYRES FOR CIVIL ENGINEERING OPERATIONS

The transport of materials over rocky soil gives rise to various problems concerning the tyres of the equipment used. Details are given of the development of the radial tyre and its advantages compared to the standard tyre. Variations in the nature and texture of the soil led to the development of a wide range of civil engineering tyres. Recommendations for use are given for each types with a view to avoiding premature damage. /TRRL/
