AIR-ENTRAINING AGENTS FOR CONCRETE ADMIXTURES
LUFTPARBILDANDE BETONGTILLSATSMEDEL
At the Cement and Concrete Laboratory in Malmo, Sweden, the influence of various air-entraining agents on the properties of concrete has been investigated. Four different preparations used with four different kinds of standard concrete were tested for the amount of water needed for a given air content, water separation and setting which is generally retarded gradually. It was found that different combinations of cement and admixtures can either decrease or increase the normal time strength.
