MAGNITUDE OF CREEP AND SHRINKAGE FOR DESIGN OF LIGHT-WEIGHT CONCRETE STRUCTURES
The magnitude of creep and shrinkage to be considered in designing light-weight concrete structures is discussed, based on the results of measurements in laboratory test specimens and in actual structures. The results for concrete using artificial light-weight aggregates of good quality produced in Japan show that (1) the magnitude of shrinkage can be made smaller than that in normal weight aggregate concrete, and (2) creep may have the same magnitude as that in normal weight concrete.
