STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONCRETE IN SWEDEN

BETONGNORMERNA I SVERIGE

The author discusses the New Swedish Standard specifications for concrete and emphasizes the connection between standard specifications and the need for technical education. It is suggested that a better coordination be established between the different parts of the specifications, their object and scope be more precisely defined, and the number of details curtailed. The adaptation of the specifications to engineering development is discussed together with their relation with international standards.
