A PROPOSED INJURY CODE FOR AUTOMOTIVE ACCIDENT VICTIMS
This paper is a description of an injury code designed by the Traffic Records Project of New York State, and tested by Troop F of the New York State Police. The purpose of the test was to determine if more precise data could be gathered about the specific injuries sustained by victims of motor vehicle accidents than by using the injury codes of the Manual on Classification of Motor Vehicle Traffic Accidents. /HSRI/
