NEW CONCRETE GROOVING MACHINE
A concrete grooving machine is described, which was originally developed by the Cement and Concrete Association and is now being marketed by Errut Products Ltd. The machine is the results of trials to produce a method of achieving high-speed skidding resistance of concrete roads, and reducing aquaplaning risks, by making grooves approximately 6 mm by 6 mm at random spacings of 25 - 50 mm pitch. The machine itself is designed to form part of a concreting train, and is mounted on rails behind the finisher.
