CALCULATION OF AN INFINITELY LONG PLATE RESTING ON TWO ROWS OF SUPPORTS

CALCUL D'ANE PLAQUE INFINIMENT LONGUE POSEE SUR DEUX RANGEES D'APPUIS

The aim of the study described was to evaluate the stresses imposed on a very long plate supported by two equidistant rows of supports and subjected to a uniform load. An equation is derived which describes the deformation away from the supports, and a study is made of conditions in the vicinity of the supports.
