INFLUENCE OF THE MINERALOGICAL NATURE OF SILT FRACTION ON THE STRUCTURAL STABILITY OF SOIL
INFLUENCE DE LA NATURE MINERALOGIQUE DE LA FRACTION LIMONEUSE SUR LA STABILITE STRUCTURALE DES SOLS
During the experimental study of the relations between the grading of soil and its structural stability, the specific surface of complementary particles appeared as an important textural parameter. An attempt is made to show a possible effect related to the nature of the surface by using complementary particles which vary in mineralogy but are associated with the same clay. Results obtained confirm the general value to be given to the specific surface parameter and clearly show its limits of application. On the other hand, the effect linked with the nature of the specific surfaces could not be shown as other parameters affected the results.
