ANCHORAGE ZONE STRESSES IN POST-TENSIONED UNIFORM MEMBERS WITH ECCENTRIC AND MULTIPLE ANCHORAGES
Anchorage zone stresses in post-tensioned members of uniform cross-section are determined by using a finite element procedure for the elastic analysis of three-dimensional solids. Stress distributions are shown for multiple and eccentric anchorages on rectangular and I-section beams. Both bursting and spalling stresses are considered. The results are used to assess the conventional design method of partitioning.
