WHY DOES A BITUMINOUS PAVEMENT BLEED?
VARFOR BLODER ASFALT?
The use of studed tyres has led to stricter requirements for minimum voids content. If the pavement is too densely compacted, bleeding may occur. Bleeding phenomena are discussed, and the effect of the difference in thermal expansion between aggregate and binder and that of the rolling temperature on bleeding are investigated.
