THE MAT SCALE-----GOES ANYWHERE

Discussed is an electronic portable weighing system, light-weight and accurate, consisting of a mat and an electric processor. The mat, made of a special elastomeric material, is placed on a flat hard surface. The processing unit then measures the volumetric change and converts it to a weight reading when a load is placed on the mat. Such details as costs, power requirements, mat sizes and weights, capacities, upkeep and basic technology are covered. The obvious advantages of its portability and possible applications are also discussed.
