FULLY AUTOMATIC DETERMINATION OF BLOOD-ALCOHOL WITH A GAS-CHROMATOGRAPHIC DATA SYSTEM

The author reports on experience with a fully automatic blood-alcohol measuring system; this consists of the gas-chromatographic multifract F 40 and the gas- chromatography data system pep-1 of the firm Perkin-Elmer and Co. GmbH. The different modes of working of a 4K and an 8K version of the data system are described, and the results of investigations made in accordance with mathematical/statistical methods are evaluated. The fully automatic blood-alcohol measuring system is superior to all other methods of determining blood alcohol with respect to its sampling capacity, the amount of work required and the accuracy of analysis. /TRRL/
