MANPOWER LEVELING FOR MEDIUM AND LONG-TERM PLANNING PURPOSES
The ''manpower'' level model is part of a future integrated maintenance management information system, which is presently in the developmental stage at KLM. In the introduction the paper describes the total maintenance process and isolates that part of the total process in which the ''model'' is used. For this particular part of the process the concept of an information system is explained. The model is treated in detail and possible future applications are presented. By using the output of the model for comparison with some desired reference manpower, the model can be used in a cybernetic system.
