MULTI-MODAL TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS PLANNING

Recent developments in transportation systems modelling in the Northeast Corridor Project have given insight into the mechanism of intermodal short haul competition. This paper summarizes some of these insights in developing short haul system design parameters.
