TWO MODELS OF FREIGHT MODAL CHOICE
In this part of our report we describe the theoretical construction and statistical estimation of an econometric model of freight shippers' modal choice decisions: the decisions that determine the relative shares of all freight business allocated to rail, truck, air, or other modes of transport.
