COMBINED LANDING AND TAKEOFF CAPACITY OF A SINGLE RUNWAY
This study presents a theoretical analysis of the landing capacity and the combined landing and take-off capacity of a single runway. Interrelationships of the following factors are studied--the separation between pairs of landing aircraft; the runway occupancy time of landing aircraft; the distance of the gate at the start of the approach path from the end of the runway; the variation in approach speeds and take-off speeds and the distance between the second landing aircraft and the taking-off aircraft.
