LONDON AIRPORTS TRAFFIC STUDY-HEATHROW AIRPORT-PART 1: 1966 TRAFFIC CHARACTERISTICS

Three main surveys were carried out at Heathrow: 1. Departure Lounge Survey of air passengers; 2. Travel to Work Survey; 3. Roadside Interview Survey. These main surveys were supplemented with additional surveys of vehicle movements associated with air cargo; passengers using London Transport buses serving the Central Terminal Area; coach services; and usage of parking facilities on or close to the airport.
