A COMPARISON OF ACCESS SYSTEMS TO PRESENT WORLD AIRPORTS
The existing systems of fixed guideway access to present world airports are not impressively successful either in tems of passenger utilization or economics. Examples are the rail link at Brussels, the subway link in Milan, the Tokyo monorail. The social and economic reasons for this will be examined and projections for the extension of the Cleveland Transit System, the proposed London rail and subway links and the the New York area proposals will be examined.
