SKY COUNT STUDY OF AIRPORT CONGESTION ANALYSIS

We have completed our aerial photographic survey and analysis of congestion at the Port Authority's airports during the summer. Six measures of activity were developed: Aircraft Queued and Waiting for Take-off, Aircraft on Taxiways, Gate Utilization, Percent Utilization of Long and Short Term Parking Lots, Congestion on Air Terminal Highway System, and Taxiway Congestion.
