FUTURE OF LARGE CARGO AIRCRAFT
A survey shows the development of air cargo from 1960 to 1970. The advantages of large cargo aircraft must be further improved through mechanized ground handling systems and unitized loads. These aircraft with their low tonmile costs must be designed to allow a streamlined traffic flow with an integrated system of materials handling and operating into and out of mechanized terminals with suitable documentation and in-transit control.
