NORTHEAST CORRIDOR 1967 AIR TRAVEL COST ANALYSIS
Cost-volume relationships for air travel in the Northeast Corridor are developed on the basis of historical data reported to the Civil Aeronautics Board by airlines. Estimates are made of the effect of traffic volumes on the cost per passenger handled at NEC airports. Costs per passenger-mile are estimated at representative NEC stage lengths, a breakdown of the costs into major categories is provided, and the effect of traffic delays on those unit costs is estimated.
