EXPLORING BY SIMULATION THE FUTURE DISTRIBUTION OF TACTICAL AIR INFORMATION
The use of cockpit simulators provides an economical, flexible means of examining the system's performance and evaluating capabilities provided by various design alternatives. This paper discusses two specific design studies: (a) How much control must a pilot have over the type of information accepted and displayed by his own processor? and (b) What is the essential display content that must appear in the absence of pilot intervention?
