THEORETICAL STUDY ON THE NONELASTIC BEHAVIORS OF JOINTED ROCKMASSES
IT IS EVIDENT BY THE RESULTS OF IN SITU-TESTS THAT ROCK MASSES BEHAVE IN DIFFERENT MANNERS FROM ELASTIC BODIES, BECAUSE THERE ARE MANY JOINTS AND CRACKS IN ROCK MASSES. IN THIS REPORT, THE MECHANICAL MODEL WHICH IS SUITABLE TO THE MECHANICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF JOINTED ROCK MASSES, IS PRESENTED; IT IS BASED ON THE ELASTO-PLASTIC THEORY.
