AVIATION - AUTOMATIC WEATHER OBSERVING SYSTEM (AV-AWOS) PRELIMINARY SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The Aviation Automatic Weather Observation System (AV-AWOS) Preliminary System Description is a summarization of the descriptive material contained in the FAA Engineering Requirement, FAA-ER-450-015 and the NWS (National Weather Service) AV-AWOS Development Plan supplemented by information from NWS with respect to their on-going development work. At this point in the development cycle, there are a number of areas that require further definition for guidance to the development activities. These areas are identified by a list of questions in Appendix A.
