A Validation of an EMF Exposure Simulation Using a Small Size Magnetic Field Sensor
Recently, a safety concern of human exposure of electromagnetic field (EMF) for occupants of electric vehicles is increasing. The spatial resolution of the magnetic field sensor required for the validation was determined to be 5 mm based on the simulation. The repeatability of the small magnetic field sensor was verified using a system for generating AC magnetic field standards developed in National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). A simulation model of a real component (battery) installed in a vehicle was improved based on measurements, and it was shown that the magnetic field level could be simulated within 3 dB.
