Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility Roadmap
This Roadmap reviews the long-term development of the Connected, Cooperative, and Automated Mobility initiative in Europe. The first chapter discusses Vision 2050, which provides a long-term picture of road transportation and its challenges. The second chapter examines Agenda 2030, which describes four domains (highways and corridors, confined areas, urban mixed traffic, and rural roads), use cases for each domain, and their specific characteristics. In the third chapter, Outlook 2040 delves into how use cases and business models will further evolve over the next decade. The fourth chapter covers Key Enablers that are necessary to resolve the 2050 challenges, including infrastructure and business models; technology enablers; validation; and artificial intelligence and data analytics. The fifth chapter explores specific projects and initiatives taking place in the European Union and worldwide.
