Urban Mobility Towards the 15-minute city: Discussion Paper on Future R&I Topics for Urban Mobility and the 15mc
This discussion paper reflects on the mutual interactions of the 15-minute city concept and urban mobility. The first section presents the 15-minute city concept and its significance for urban mobility. The second section details examples from various European research projects. The third section presents synergies and conflicts between the 15-minute city concept and relevant European Road Transport Research Advisory Council Roadmaps. Three roadmaps have been selected for this purpose: the Urban Mobility Resilience Roadmap, the New Mobility Services Roadmap, and the Safe Road Transport Research Roadmap. The fourth section identifies barriers, challenges, drivers, and recommendations for achieving the 15-minute city. The fifth and final section provides conclusions and recommendations for future research.
