SHIPS RESISTANCE DURING CANAL PASSAGE
The utilization of data acquired for the calculation of ships resistance and its incidence as applicable to the shape and size of vessels plying on inland waterways and of canal cross-sections and an exhaustive study of the relevant literature was undertaken by the author. The role played by ships resistance in the construction of canals for large vessels. Newer approaches for the determination of ships resistance, and approximation procedures of adequate accuracy are discussed.
