Analysis on Urban Expressway Network Traffic State Evolution Based on Macroscopic Fundamental Diagram
Considering the unstable problem in the operation state evolution of urban expressway network, an analysis method of expressway traffic state evolution is proposed, using Shanghai expressway data to obtain the macroscopic fundamental diagram. This paper combines network efficiency with network state stability to get the network optimal operation state. And based on the state transition route of network, the evolution law of transition is analyzed and summarized. The study provides an intuitive reference for traffic management and travel. Besides, it can also provide theoretical support for the development of traffic management policies.
